Dear River Islands Academies Community,

It is that time of year when state testing takes place, extracurricular activities are winding down (with the exception of our high school teams that were in playoffs-GO Riptide!), and celebrations are taking place. It’s a whirlwind of activity. It is also time to take a minute and look around us and enjoy the beautiful spring flowers and blooming trees and think about all of the growth that our students have experienced throughout this 2025-26 school year. Every year goes so quickly  that sometimes we forget to take a pause and reflect and enjoy.

Parents you might want to ask your children about their experiences during the year that they especially enjoyed.

Did you meet a new friend this year?

What was a positive that you will remember about your teacher(s)?

What was your favorite experience during the year?

In what subject do you feel like you learned the most?

-Or the many other questions that you can come up with.

I hope that you will help support the students during the state testing window by assuring them that if they do their very best, that is good enough. We know our students have learned a tremendous amount during the year and hope that they will make every effort to show it so that the whole community can be proud of the results. It is a matter of pride for the schools, the community, and the families to have great test scores year after year! River Islands Academies Students continue to go above and beyond, and we are proud of each and every one!

Thank you for the very nice recognitions that you shared with our staff members to show your appreciation for their hard work. We agree they are terrific!

Congratulations to the Academic Teams and the Athletic Teams that were so amazing in proudly representing River Islands Academies throughout the year. They really did shine on so many levels.

We hope that May is a wonderful month for each of you and all of the members of your family.

Together let’s Wind UP to Wind down!  All the BEST to YOU!
