Participating in community service is not only good for the soul, but it will help you stand out on your college applications. 

RIHS requires students to complete at least 40 hours before graduation, but you are encouraged to serve more than that.  

Students can begin completing their hours once they are in 9th grade. Pick up a Community Service Log from the Counseling Office.

The following volunteer opportunities are available in our community. Students are not limited to the following organizations. In order for community service hours to count, students must have the hours logged and signed by an adult who is overseeing the activity. Students may volunteer as part of a religious or cultural program/activity; however, the time volunteering cannot be used to promote specifc religious or political affiliations. Additionally, students cannot be paid for the work they are doing, nor can their hours be required as part of disciplinary action.
