Mentors
Sponsor/ Lead Mentor /Mentor
The Sponsor is a Fulton County School teacher. The Sponsor has overall responsibility of the team. A Lead Mentor is a mentor who has additional responsibility for the management of the team and other mentors. They are responsible for working directly with the Booster Board and Student Leaders on team planning activities, guiding the mentor group, giving oversight on parent committee activities, and acting as the primary interface between the team and FIRST/ RHS.
Mentors would typically have at least 10 years of education, industry and/or FIRST experience, and possess credentials or licenses that attest to their expertise. Mentors must complete FCS & FRC requirements. New mentors are required complete a Mentor Application and be interviewed by the Sponsor, Lead Mentor and Booster Board Member.
