An organized, searchable collection of data, articles, newspapers, magazines, or reports. For the Capstone, the Global Issues in Context database contains all the topics and resources necessary for most of this project. The database for the Capstone is located on Burger's or Roth's library home page.

After either using a source's direct words or summarized concepts, give credit to the original author. Citations occur within papers or projects and state who generated the ideas or words first.  It is essential to cite original sources and authors; otherwise, it is considered plagiarizing (or stealing) another's work.

The Capstone does require minimal Internet searching.  Internet sources should be checked to see who sponsors, funds, or runs the website.  Additionally, the authors of the sources should be reviewed including their qualifications, background, or employment. Lastly, students review if a source properly cites or hyperlinks to all the sources used within and determine if those sources are relevant and reliable. Students are provided lessons and guidance on this process.
