Google Chrome: Staff should use Google Chrome as their main browser. This will help to better integrate with G Suite for Education and other tools that use Google to sign-in. Staff should not use Google Chrome to log in to any other Google accounts except for their RHAM account. You may use another browser such as Microsoft Edge to do this.
Drive File Stream: Drive File Stream allows you to sync files from your computer to your Google Drive. Any file that is saved in Drive File Stream will be available in your Google Drive. We highly suggest that you save any files that are stored locally into Drive File Stream so that everything is stored in Google Drive. This will make for easy storage, syncing, and transferring of data.
Microsoft Office: Use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to write documents, make spreadsheets, and create presentations. Make sure to convert these documents to Google Docs format before uploading to Google Drive or sharing with students. Use this guide to help you convert from Office to Google Docs.
Adobe Acrobat and PDF Editing: Although Adobe Acrobat Reader can open PDFs, you can edit a non-locked PDF in Microsoft Word. To do so, open Microsoft Word, click File and then Open on the top menu bar, then navigate to the PDF you want to edit. Microsoft Word will convert the file and you can edit as needed. You can then export again as a PDF or Microsoft Word file.
7-Zip: An application to unzip compressed files.
VLC Media Player: This media player lets you open and play almost any type of video or audio file.
Printing: Staff should only print to the Canon Follow-You option. You may then log-in to any Canon Printer/Copier and select the Follow-You option. The document you printed will show up there.
