About

Screencastify is an application where students can record themselves in order to answer questions, reflect, and respond to others, record their screens, edit video clips, and much more.

Support UDL

Screencastify works with all age groups because it is very easy to use.  It would work best in late elementary through high school.  Students can use Screencastify as an alternative to written reflections or even as a way to explain without writing/typing.  It works best for short responses, but can also be used for more lengthy recordings.  Teachers can also use Screencastify to create videos to respond to students to support mastery oriented feedback.

Screencastify meets the following UDL Guidelines and Checkpoints

2.5 Illustrate Through Multiple Media

5.1 Use Multiple Media for Communication

8.3 Foster Collaboration and Community

8.4 Increase Mastery Oriented Feedback
