Art 8 builds on the foundations covered in Art 7. This course will further explore the application of the elements of art and principles of design, color theory, media exploration, and aesthetic appreciation.

Students used a grid-up method to enlarge a selfie onto paper, then painted different values of a single color to create the illusion of form.
Students used different color schemes, patterns, and textures to create two watercolor paintings that demonstrate both positive + negative space.
Students created a clay vessel of their own design using slab or pinch pot methods.
Students created an optical illusion drawing of a shattered surface using value, gradients, and shapes.
Students practiced creating non-objective compositions and color mixing in a tempera paint painting.
