Graduate Student Activism

Graduate students play a unique and important role in the student movement. Jessica will introduce you to the Canadian Federation of Students. You will learn what it means to be a member of the Federation and the roles and responsibilities of the Federation in the student movement as a whole. Jessica will provide an overview of the research and organizing the Federation carries out, the Federation’s Consent is Mandatory campaign, and how graduate students can get involved in student activism.

What does CFS do?

Wesam will introduce you to the democratic structure of the Federation, its role in lobbying governments and campus administrations, and past victories of the Federation. As well, you will find out about different services and perks the Federation offers, including discounts.
