Our journey begins on April of 2013, where a group of Pharmacy students at RFUMS started their venture through the pledging process of Kappa Psi. Surpassing a vigorous endeavor we were inducted into the inaugural Kappa Psi chapter of RFUMS on, November 23rd of 2013, as the Mid-America Province chapter Epsilon Omega. From this day on we would no longer be considered merely as “pledges”, but rather brothers within the fraternity of Kappa Psi. Throughout this entire process we as a chapter have grown into something much more than what we could have expected, a family.

Being chartered has offered a unique experience, which taught us that the bonds of brotherhood are truly stronger than steel. As Kappa Psi’s motto, “One for all and all for one”, it is clear that as a brother of Kappa Psi you are truly never alone. We have seen a countless number of brothers support us along the way, from fellow chapters within our province, to our Grand Council Deputies; without them none of this would have been possible.

Our chartering day was an experience in itself, as it allowed our pledge class to see the support and excitement fellow brothers shared in our crossing into the brotherhood. we would like to give special thanks to the brothers of Delta Nu, Epsilon Upsilon, Epsilon Rho, Chi, and Beta Lambda, for their assistance in our chartering. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the fellow Executive board members present for our chartering day, Dr. Latha Radhakrishnan, Dr. Robert Mancini, Dr. Jason Milton, Mr. Johnny Porter, and Dr. Paul Knecht. Finally, we would like to give one last thanks to our current Grand Council Deputies, Dr. Bradley Cannon and, Dr. Kevin Rynn, as well as our faculty advisor Dean Janeen Winnike and fellow brother Dr. Vince Dorsey as they helped to make the chartering event happen.
