Founded in 2022, the River Falls Robocats have designed and built innovative robots that have not only increased team ingenuity, but also team character. Though our years in the FIRST Robotics competitions have been few, we have already learned so much from other teams and grown as a team ourselves. Every year, we have come back stronger thanks to our wonderful mentors, booster club, community, and our fellow teams! As the years progress, we hope to reach more people in our community and to give back by sporting our core values: gracious professionalism, innovation, education, entertainment, and support.
Our Values
Gracious Professionalism: We conduct ourselves with integrity, respect, and sportsmanship in all our interactions, both on and off the field. We compete fiercely but with graciousness, helping others even when they are our rivals. We are committed to learning from both our successes and our failures, and we treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Innovation: We strive to push the boundaries of robotics technology and design by exploring new ideas, experimenting with different approaches, and finding creative solutions to engineering challenges. We embrace calculated risk-taking and view failures as opportunities for learning and improvement.
Education: We are committed to continuous learning and skill development in all areas related to robotics, engineering, and STEM. We share our knowledge and experience with one another and the community, promoting STEM education and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
Entertainment: We recognize that robotics can be fun and exciting! We strive to create a positive and engaging team experience, celebrating our achievements and making the learning process enjoyable. We also aim to inspire others with our passion for robotics and make our presentations and outreach activities entertaining and memorable.
Support: We foster a collaborative and supportive team environment where every member feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute. We help each other learn, grow, and overcome challenges, both within the team and in the broader FIRST community.
