2025-2026 Goals
By the end of the 25/26 school year, 80% of students will show growth on SEP and CCC understanding on the Inner Orbit/Mystery Science assessment, with no difference between subgroups, especially between Hispanic/Latinx and white students.
2024-2025 Goals
By the end of the 24/25 school year, 100% of students will use the Crosscutting Concepts and Science and Engineering practices in their daily learning.
CCC and SEP will be measured via Inner Orbit
By the end of the 24/25 school year, teachers will establish cross-content language and expectations surrounding CERs
Other key work--> Implement Inner Orbit, Unpack 3 standards (Life, Earth, Physical) per grade level.
2023-2024 Goals
By the end of the 23/24 school year, 100% of students will use the Crosscutting Concepts and Science and Engineering practices in their daily learning with no difference between subgroups, especially between Hispanic/Latinx and white students.
By the end of the 23/24 school year, 100% of Teachers will use Driving Question Boards to leverage student learning with no difference in exposure between subgroups, especially between Hispanic/Latinx and white students.
Other key work--> Reflect on standards re-arrangment (begin in December) with the help of Sam Agroo from CDE, explore Inner Orbit or other assessment program to track student learning, possibly create a common CER rubric between SS and Sci
2022-2023 Goals:

The middle school science team will be able to use the NGSS resource to name and explain the different CCCs and SEPs and be able to incorporate them into their units.
The middle school leadership team will complete walkthroughs twice a year to see areas of celebration and areas in which we can better support our science teachers.
2021-2022 Goals:
The middle school science team will work on phenomena based teaching strategies.
The middle school science team will implement Cross Cutting Concepts focusing specifically on Patterns and Cause and Effect.
The middle school science team will implement Science and Engineering Practices, specifically focusing on Analyzing and Interpreting Data.
