Meet Your Teacher

My name is Mr. Widdoes and I am entering my 12th year of teaching at Taylor Road. My dream of becoming an elementary school teacher started many years ago when I would spend the day with my mom in her 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms at Taylor Road on "Take Your Child to Work" days. My mom taught at Taylor Road for 22 years. My favorite subjects to teach are reading and writing. I love reading and sharing some of my favorite picture books with my students. I am married to my wonderful wife Katie and we have a two year-old son named Dean and 5-month old daughter, Ellie. They keep us very busy (in a great way). I played tennis in college at Mount Union University and have coached within the district and at New Albany High School. I love working-out and staying active. I enjoy watching and attending sporting events. I am a HUGE Ohio State football fan and I sure do love all of my Cleveland professional teams.
