The ninth grade website is a group project in which students choose an issue of interest to them, a problem in which they would like to raise awareness or encourage a call to action. Over the course of a trimester, students work collaboratively to ask questions, conduct research, interview those knowledgeable in the field, create websites and other media to inform the public, publish the site, and then promote the issue beyond the classroom walls. This project provides enriching opportunities to explore the world around them, pursue individual interests and passions, and interact using twenty-first century skills.
