Dear Fifth Grade Parents and Guardians,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year here at Resurrection Regional school. I would like to formally introduce myself, my name is Mia Fitzpatrick. I will be your child's Homeroom, ELA, Social Studies and Religion teacher. I am honored and excited to have this opportunity to teach your child.
As this is my first year at Resurrection Regional School, I would like to share a little bit about myself. I received a Catholic education for 12 years. I attended St. Andrew’s Grade School in Newtown, Pennsylvania and then Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, Pennsylvania. At Mount Saint Joseph Academy, I was a four-year member of the rowing team. I went on to row in England at Henley-On-The-Thames my junior year. I went on to major in Elementary Education with a focus in Middle School Social Studies at the University of Delaware. I was awarded the Baker Memorial Award for Excellence in Social Studies Education from The University of Delaware College of Education and Human Development.
I do not take the responsibilities placed on a teacher lightly. Teaching is one of the most important professions in our society. I aim to instill the qualities of faith, respect, responsibility, and pride within my students. I hope to truly engage my students and make learning fun in the process. I look forward to this amazing learning experience and to forging great relationships within the Resurrection community.
