Welcome to Lewisville School of Science and Technology. We are so happy you'll be joining our rock star team of teachers. We understand how important the first few days at a new job are. We hope to fully inform you, support you, and make you feel like part of the team.
Over the course of eight modules, you will learn about our school culture, our dedication to teamwork, the tools we use to succeed, and some guidelines for supporting our students. Check out the objectives for each module before beginning.
Please complete Module 1 at home before joining us for the first day of in-service. We'll complete the remaining modules together.

Objective 2.3: The learner will be able to follow proper procedures for discipline in and out of their classroom.
Objective 2.4: The learner will be able to take roll at the beginning of every class except for 2nd or 5th period, which they will take at 9:50 AM.
Objective 2.5: The learner will be able to participate in before and after school duties.
Objective 3.1: The learner will be able to use Skyward to enter and grade assignments, take roll, conduct discipline write-ups, access Bright Thinker, input IT service desk tickets, and communicate with parents.
Objective 3.2: The learner will be able to use Bright Thinker to introduce concepts to students, assess student understanding, provide feedback to students, and plan scope and sequence.
Objective 3.3: The learner will be able to use Google Classroom to schedule assignments, grade student work, deliver quizzes, communicate with students, and provide feedback.
Objective 4.1: The learner will be able to explain the purpose of Project Based Learning and how it supports our goals for our students.
Objective 4.2: The learner will be able to distinguish the steps of the Project Based Learning cycle.
Objective 4.3: The learner will be able to ask Project Based Learning Critical Questions.
Objective 4.4: The learner will be able to develop projects based on a critical question.
Objective 4.5: The learner will be able to explain how the project supports the TEKS.
Objective 5.1: The learner will be able to read and implement the accommodations in Special Education students’ Individualized Education Plans and 504 student’s 504 plans.
Objective 5.2: The learner will be able to differentiate curriculum and instruction to accommodate Special Education and 504 students.
Objective 5.3: The learner will be able to complete accommodation trackers to comply with state requirements.
Objective 6.1: The learner will be able to create a teacher profile in Red Rover.
Objective 6.2: The learner will be able to schedule absences in Red Rover.
Objective 6.3: The learner will be able to share notes, lesson plans, and resources with substitute teachers in Red Rover.
Objective 6.4: The learner will be able to communicate with substitute teachers in Red Rover.
