Coach Mason's Weekly Newsletter
Hi, I’m Coach Mason! I’ve been involved in soccer for over 17 years, earning a full-ride scholarship to the University of Houston and finishing my college career at UNT. I’ve coached Select soccer and now offer private training for players ages 6–18, helping each athlete grow in skill and confidence.
I’ve been married to my amazing husband Daniel for 8 years, and we’re blessed with two daughters, Zoey and Kierstin. Soccer is my passion, and I love sharing it with the next generation!
Welcome back, everyone! I’m so excited to kick off a brand new school year in PE with all of you. We have a fun and active year ahead, full of games, challenges, and opportunities to build our strength, teamwork, and confidence. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, get ready to move, learn, and have a great time. Let’s start the year strong and make this our best one yet!
FOR THE WEEK K-8th:
In Physical Education, we will focus on building our fundamental motor skills of catching and throwing, which are important for playing many different sports and activities. Students will practice using correct form, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork while participating in fun games and challenges. In addition, students will continue working on their personal health and fitness goals by completing components of the FitnessGram, which helps us measure and track our progress in areas such as endurance, strength, and flexibility. These skills and assessments align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Physical Education, ensuring that students not only stay active but also learn how to develop lifelong habits for a healthy lifestyle.
