We reviewed the procedures and expectations in the music room and how to play different rhythms on rhythm sticks. Students had the opportunity to play the triangle and the sand blocks.

We reviewed procedures and expectations for music class and how to read notes on the treble clef staff. 

6-8

We went over the syllabus and students learned the expectations for quality of work and classroom manner. Students chose their instruments and we began Baroque Era history lessons. 

K-2

We will begin learning "Do-Re-Mi" from The Sound of Music. We will discuss how this is similar to the Solfege syllables we learned last semester. 

3-5

Students will be learning how to read bass clef and play rhythms on rhythm sticks. 

6-8

Students will learn the basics of music theory and we will be preparing students to begin instrument instruction the following week.
