Mrs. Shelly Baker was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She and her husband decided to move to Austin in 2006. In 2013, Mrs. Baker decided to take on the exciting career of real estate while also substituting for Leander Independent School District. During this time, she also attended Western Governors University and graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, grades K-8. During her journey with WGU, Mrs. Baker earned several awards in the areas of Children’s Literature, Physical and Health Education, and Clinical Experiences. She completed her student teaching in a 2nd grade classroom at Pleasant Hill Elementary in Leander.
Mrs. Baker and her husband have 2 sons, Luke and Graham, who both attend Founders. Mrs. Baker loves living a full, fun life! Some of her favorite things are writing and reflecting on life adventures and challenges, reading poetry books, spending time with family, last-minute weekend getaways, baking, attending or watching Houston Texans football games, live music, singing, and dancing.
Mrs. Baker enjoys the rich curriculum Founders has to offer! Her favorite subjects are math, history, literature, and grammar.
