THRIVE initially started as a school improvement program designed to provide intensive support both operationally and academically to any ResponsiveEd school that has fallen below a designated threshold as it relates to state accountability measures. THRIVE has now expanded into a Title I campus support program. THRIVE follows the School Restart Turnaround Model for schools that have been acquired by ResponsiveEd and the Transformational model for campuses that are current ResponsiveEd schools.

THRIVE is comprised of a team of academic specialists who support each content area through intensive differentiated professional development and one-on-one teacher support. Unlike the usual school turnaround team who are usually consultants unfamiliar with the culture of the district, THRIVE is somewhat of a district within a district. Not only does the team provide academic support for schools, but operational supports are provided as well. Because all district-level departments are aware of the sense of urgency for THRIVE campuses, much of the bureaucratic measures have been removed which allows for a quicker turnaround of the campus culture. Historically, THRIVE campuses see double-digit gains in year one of transformation.

THRIVE uses an approach that is unique to ResponsiveEd. This program focuses on more than accountability. In fact, the mission of THRIVE is to provide a sustainable education through excellence. Simply put, THRIVE is a culture changer. Relationships are perhaps the most important part of establishing a school culture that is perceived as and fosters love and hope. When people feel valued, staff and students alike, they are likely to work harder, stay the course, and enjoy their work.

THRIVE will cement 100 percent dedication to excellence in education for all scholars through love, trust, transparency, and a sense of urgency (transformation).
