Reading is Fundamental! Don't get caught slipping!

Participation: 100% Participation is given when a student: Completes all assigned work, Participates in class by asking and answering Questions, and stays on task. Points are lost when students do not engage in these activities.

Classwork: Students should complete all classwork assignments during class. If for some reason a student does not complete the assigned classwork during class they should complete it for homework that night. Students who are absent have 1 week from the date of the assignment to complete it. For Example, If a student is absent Monday August,15th they have until the following Monday, August 22nd to complete the assignment. All incomplete classwork will be given a 40% F until its completion. Additionally, the student must also email me to notify me that the work was completed or their grade will stay a 40%F.  If a student is not satisfied with a classwork grade, they may resubmit for a higher grade up to 1 week after the grade has been posted. Students will not be allowed to make up classwork at the end of a quarter to raise their grade.

Homework: Students will be assigned homework on a weekly basis. Students should complete and submit all homework assignments. Homework is to be completed and submitted on its due date. If for some reason a student is absent on the day homework is due they should turn it in when they return to school. Homework is graded based on completion and is used to determine a student’s understanding of the work completed in class. Homework assignments not completed will be given a 40%F. Homework will not be re-graded and can not be made up unless a student was absent.

Exit Tickets: Exit Tickets are assessments that if absent a student can complete make- up once a week during recess or during class. Incomplete Exit Tickets will receive a score no higher than a 67% D. Exit Tickets will not be regraded.

Network Assessments: Network Assessments are assessments that if absent a student can complete by scheduling a make- up during recess or during class. Incomplete Network Assessments will be scored as is. Network Assessments will not be regraded.

"We will always have STEM with us. Some things will drop out of the public eye and will go away, but there will always be science, engineering, and technology. And there will always, always be mathematics." - Katherine Johnson
