Tuesday 17th May 2022 - We took part in a Debate workshop along with some Year 5 in Garston Primary School! We debated very interesting topics such as 'Remote learning should be an option', '"The internet is more bad than good", "School uniform should be banned" - we learned new vocabularly such as 'motion', 'proposition' and 'opposition' and learned how important our stage presence is when giving a speech, someone who has amazing stage presence is Barak Obama as he's very confident, makes eye contact and makes sure to stand up straight when talking to make his voice project as much as possible!
Forest School - 26/11/21
We had a great time in forest school this afternoon. We used the autumn leaves and worked in teams to make beautiful leaf mandalas.
RNLI - 22/11/21
Today we were visited by the RNLI who talked to us about what they do and how to stay safe on the water.
Hot Seating - 16/11/21
In English, we have been using a drama technique called hot seating to put ourselves into the shoes of a character. We asked and answered questions to 'Daniel,' who is the protagonist of our story.
Anti-bullying Week - 15/11/21
This week is Anti-bullying week. We have been learning about what bullying is and what we can do to stop it using the STOP rule - Several Times On Purpose and Start Telling Other People. We took part in the BBC Live Lesson and made posters on the theme of cyber bulling.
Pupil Voice - 11/11/21
Today, we've been talking about books that we have read. We had 5 minutes to write down all of the books that we have read in teams. We then counted them up and used column addition to calculate how many book we had read as a class. The total was 338 books!

We identified a variety of frame structures around school and made our own using K'nex.
Messy Science - 4/11/21
This afternoon, we used liquids with different densities to make density columns. The different liquids stayed on top of each other in layers due to their different densities.
Sam Maxwell - 11/10/21
We loved meeting Sam Maxwell, who is a professional boxer from Liverpool. He talked to us about his career and let us hold his belts.
A Balanced Argument - 11/10/21
This morning we learnt about the different parts of a balanced argument. We then read an example and worked together to label the different parts.
Forest School Afternoon 7/10/21
We had a fantastic afternoon working together in teams to build dens in the forest.
