General FAQs
How do I login to Anthology Portfolio?
If you are trying to access Anthology Portfolio for the first time, you should check your email for a Welcome email from Anthology Portfolio that will allow you to set up your account. If you are a student or staff member, this email will go to your Relay student or staff account. If you do not see this email, check your Junk mail or email support@relay.edu.
For subsequent logins, follow the instructions in the articles below.
What is a ‘Table of Contents’ in Anthology Portfolio?
The Table of Contents that your portfolio employs was created by an Administrator at your institution (typically your assigned certification officer), and was selected for use in the portfolio creation process. Tables of Contents can vary, but their most basic role is to provide structure for your portfolio. Tables of Contents also contain linkages to assessment instruments (rubrics), and can include instructions on how and where to upload your work in your portfolio.
I used the “forgot your password?” link, but have not received an email. Where is it?
Not receiving an email with your new, random password can be caused by a few different items.
Please review the possibilities in this article.
Why do some of the support documents say “Chalk & Wire” instead of Anthology Portfolio?
Chalk & Wire recently merged with Anthology Solutions to become Anthology Portfolio, and they are continuing to update their user-facing documents to reflect this shift.
How do I add Anthology Portfolio (formerly Chalk & Wire) to my mobile device’s home screen?
Adding a shortcut to your mobile device's home screen is an easy way to keep Anthology Portfolio one click away.
See this article for instructions.
Student FAQs
I don't see my program's Table of Contents in my account, where is it?
For guidance on finding your program's Table of Contents and creating a portfolio, see this article. If you are still unable to find your program's Table of Contents, email support@relay.edu.
If you previously created your program's portfolio but are not able to see it, it's possible it has been hidden. See this article for instructions on unhiding your portfolio.
How do I submit work to my assessor?
Simply adding content to your portfolio or assignment does not grant your assessor access to it. In order to complete this process, you must actually submit your work to an assessor. In some cases, your assessor may automatically appear when submitting your work; but when a requirement or assignment does not auto-populate an assessor for you, you will need to type in their name and select them. All requirements for your licensure portfolio should go to your certification officer. If you are submitting an assessment in Portfolio through Canvas (CT, IL, TN, or TX), you should submit it to your course instructor.
In this article you can learn how to submit your work, and how to select the assessor to whom it should be submitted.
Why doesn’t my assessor’s name appear when I try to submit to them?
When you are submitting work for assessment, you might be prompted to select the name of the assessor to whom you wish to submit. As you type, any applicable matches will appear. If your assessor's name does not appear, please contact support@relay.edu to inquire as to why.
What do I do if I submit work to the wrong assessor? Or, how do I withdraw a submission that I made to my assessor?
This article will teach you how to withdraw a submission that you have previously made to an assessor. This can be useful if you have submitted work to the wrong assessor, from the wrong portfolio section, or wish to change the content/work that you submitted. It is also important to withdraw submissions that you plan to re-submit. If you do not, your assessor will receive two versions of the same submission without knowledge of which one you wish to have assessed.
NOTE: You cannot withdraw a submission that has already been assessed.
Why are buttons missing or not working in my account?
The two most common reasons for our site to display incorrectly are:
Your browser's cache has not been cleared recently.
Your browser uses add-ons/extensions that are interfering with the way our site appears.
You can troubleshoot these issues on your own, prior to contacting the Support Desk. If the site continues to display incorrectly after following the troubleshooting steps (below), please contact Portfolio’s Support Desk at cwsupport@campuslabs.com.
What do the different colored page icons next to pages in my Table of Contents mean?
A black page icon indicates that the page has content you should review, such as important instructions or a form you may need to complete.
A red page icon indicates that you need to upload some sort of document or file to submit/meet the requirement.
A green page icon indicates that you have met the technical content requirements for that page (e.g., number of files).
A green circle indicates that you have submitted your work to an assessor (not necessarily that you have met the requirement).
Where can I view my assessment results/grades?
See this support article for guidance on viewing assessment results/grades.
How do I view rubric-level feedback on my submissions?

To Access your results:

Staff FAQs
How do I find/assess work that students submitted to me?
Whenever a student submits work to you in Portfolio, it will appear in the "Pending Assessments" area of your account. You can access recent pending assessments on your Dashboard, or all pending assessments from the Assessment menu. See this article for details.
How do I comment on student work?
Various commenting options are available in Portfolio to ensure that the Assessor has the necessary tools to provide the student with the best possible feedback. See this article for instructions.
How do I make changes to a previously submitted assessment?
Making changes to previously completed assessments is referred to as a reassessment. Almost every type of assessment can be reassessed, excluding Self-Assessments. If the scores have already been released to the student, the changes that you make will automatically be reflected on their My Results screen. This article will walk you through the process of accessing the completed assessment to reassess.
Why does it say that my assessment is incomplete?
An assessment is never complete until all criteria in the assessment instrument have a performance level selected. If any of the performance levels have been left unselected, this will result in an "incomplete" status on the assessment. See this article for guidance.
Why does it say that my assessment is a draft?
When completing an assessment, assessors have the option to save their work as a draft. The "Draft" feature allows you to provide scores for all criteria, and return at a later time to provide comments for each criterion, and/or an overall comment. See this article to locate, complete, and save draft assessments.
What are held assessments? How do I release them?
If during assessment you chose to hold the assessment results, you are able to release them at a later date. Holding assessments is beneficial if you would like for all students to receive their scores at once, rather than sporadically as assessments are completed. This article will teach you how to release specific, or all held/unreleased results.
How do I view and analyze student performance?
If you would like to review results for students you have assessed, you may view by assessment instrument. See the instructions in this article for guidance.
How do I monitor my students’ progress?
See this article for guidance on how you can monitor your students’ progress in Portfolio.
How do I export my work and data?
This article outlines the various areas where content and data can be exported from the system with instructions on how to do so.
How are results for assessed work in Portfolio added to the Canvas grade book?
Results for work linked to a Canvas assignment and assessed in Portfolio will automatically be added to the Canvas grade book once the assessment is complete. It is important to note that only the final grade will load to Canvas, any artifacts and feedback provided will reside and can be view in Portfolio. See this article for a complete guide and step by step view of the process.
