Introduction to Watersheds

Objectives: 

Students will understand that…Human activities in agriculture, industry and everyday life have had major effects on freshwater resources. (NYSSLS: ESS3.C.)

Use these resources to introduce students to their local watershed, including what is a watershed, how their local watershed fits into the larger Niagara River/Lake Erie watershed, and common water quality issues. This place-based approach will promote exploration of how the students and their community affect their local water resources.
