About

The 2023 Mobility & Positioning Conference will encompass a series of workshops and presentations that focus on incorporating and integrating functional mobility, positioning, and assistive technology strategies and devices into the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The conference organizers intend to provide sessions for cross-disciplinary learning and collaboration. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists work together in many practice settings. Cross-disciplinary sharing of knowledge about the processes and functions of the various pieces of equipment that are available to their patients/clients/students is vital to improve outcomes for those in need. The courses in this conference will vary in instructional level from basic to intermediate. The conference attendees will be evaluated based on overall objectives of the conference in addition to individual course objectives via in-person and electronic assessments related to the course objectives.
