Vision Statement
The Teaching and Learning Committee is a collaborative team of PK-12 teachers and administrators who utilize research-based practices and district data, and assess student need, to align the three components of curriculum (content, instruction and assessment), in a systematic curriculum review process to inspire and promote continuous learning.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Teaching and Learning Committee is to develop, communicate, and participate in the systematic evaluation and revision of curriculum in The Lyme-Old Lyme Public Schools. While many departments review curriculum on an ongoing basis, the TLC has a standardized process for curriculum review and submission for approval/adoption. At minimum, it is recommended that all curriculum undergo evaluation and revision every five years to ensure purpose, implementation, equity, and effectiveness.
