The following CCMR strands will be covered :

  • Post-Secondary Education

  • Early College High School and Dual Credit

Fee: $75 for participants whose district/charter or private school is a part of the Instructional Practices Package, Title II SSA or Counselor Initiative and Student Support Package. Participants whose district/charter or private school is not a part of one of these packages the fee is $100. The fee of $100 applies to out of region participants as well.

Tools for the Shirt to Online Learning in CTE

Participants will gain insight and useful tools that assist CTE Teachers with teaching through a distance learning platform while maintaining their sanity. This approach includes empowering students to learn at a distance through 7 BIG IDEAS!

Join us for a casual lunch and learning with a short presentation and an opportunity to collaborate with others. Recorded session will be available for all registrants for 7 days after the conclusion of the session.

A BETTER Way to CCMR - Dual Credit CTE

Participants will gain knowledge pertaining to the array of dual credit options for CTE programs including teacher credentialing, how to get the process started, and who to reach out to for information about specific programs.

Continuous Online Professional Development Sessions

Building Strong CTE Programs: Getting Better Faster

This comprehensive training will explore the set-up and implementation of CTE programs that will offer the best outcomes for students, as well as, maximizing potential funding. This training will look at Programs of Study and Perkins V. We will be learning about the CTE elements embedded in HB 3, such as transportation, 7th and 8th grade funding, Industry-Based Certification, and Outcome Bonuses. Participants will leave with the tools necessary to build programs that will be well funded, contribute to a great A-F Accountability rating, and lead students down the pathway to success in all post-secondary endeavors.

Region 10 Education Service Center Classroom Management Series

This professional development opportunity has been developed for Individuals teaching under a school district teaching permit for noncore academic career and technical education (CTE) courses in order to meet the TEA Requirement to obtain 20 hours of classroom management training.

It is VERY important that you FIRST register for each training session through the Region 10 ESC Registration System. After submitting your registration, you will receive an email with enrollment instructions for each training session. In order to meet the 20 hours of classroom management training, you must complete all 8 sessions.

Work-Based Learning: Career Prep & Practicum Training

This course introduces basic laws, rules, and procedures relevant to teaching Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses that involve work-based learning (WBL) at the secondary school level in Texas. Because state and federal laws change frequently, it also explains how to find current laws, rules, and guidelines related to WBL. Teachers will learn what authentic WBL is and how to ensure students learn the skills and knowledge appropriate for their career pathway through collaborative partnerships with local employers. This session meets the requirements for TEA Required Training for Teachers of Career Preparation and Practicum Courses.
