Do you have experience with BTC practices and are willing to share with fellow educators? We'd love to have you as a speaker!
The 2024 Building Thinking Classrooms Conference is designed to highlight the 14 optimal practices that comprise a thinking classroom.
We are looking for presentations that relate to:
The 14 Practices
Toolkit implementation
The role of coaches and administrators, etc.
The Impact of Building Thinking Classrooms in schools.
Helping Families and Other Stakeholders Understand the Thinking Classroom
How Building Thinking Classrooms promotes equitable teaching practices
While Building Thinking Classrooms was designed around the teaching and learning of mathematics, we recognize teachers of other content areas might be implementing components of a thinking classroom too. We encourage you to apply as well!
Breakout sessions will be 45 minutes in length, and presenters should share how they are implementing Building Thinking Classrooms in their classrooms and/or schools. Sessions can focus on one of the BTC practices, a specific toolkit, a specific content in (or outside of) mathematics, instructional leaders supporting implementation, or communicating with families. In these sessions, presenters should share their successes and struggles, and provide meaningful implementation ideas to participants.
If chosen as a speaker, your registration fee will be discounted.
