Vision of Non-Toxic Committee
Transform Lancaster into a nontoxic community with clean air, water and soil and an ecosystem that is universally heathy and safe for all life.
Mission of Non-Toxic Committee
Eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from carbon-releasing agriculture and lawn chemicals; eliminate toxic runoff in our water; protect our air and alive nutrient-rich soil, and preserve the health of humans and, also, our wildlife and insects.
Eliminate carbon-releasing herbicides and synthetic fertilizers from our school and athletic fields, parks and public spaces, and residential areas.
Eliminate toxic pesticides found to be largely ineffective and that kill beneficial insects, and replace them with safe and effective solutions.
Partner with organizations such as Beyond Pesticides and Non-Toxic Communities.
Transform Hamilton Park (and beyond) into a nontoxic community.
Share educational resources needed to successfully adapt to regenerative organic practices with township and school officials and student groups, homeowners (and homeowner associations), and grant and service providers.
Values of Non-Toxic Committee
With nonjudgmental patience and kindness, empathize and share understanding with everyone. Resistors may evolve into our most effective partners and champions.
Remain open minded and faithful to our vision and mission.
Explain what’s in it for us all. Base our communications on scientific studies related to climate care and health and safety.
Include creative alternatives.
Neither compromise our values nor give up.
Kindly yet firmly ensure equitable win-win solutions for all interconnected beings and our environment.
