Service Learning Credit

All students at Valley are eligible to earn academic credit for volunteer or community services if the following criteria are met:

1. Prior approval is received by Mrs. Fragola or the administration;

2. A community service supervisor is identified and parental consent is provided; 

3. The student's personal goals and learning objectives are identified; 

4. Documentation of the number of service hours is provided; 

5. A mentor performance evaluation is provided. 

Mrs. Fragola will monitor your progress. Credit will be determined by the number of hours volunteered (100 hours earns 0.5 credit, 200 hours earns 1 full credit). These hours may accumulate over a semester, year, or longer if needed. Students may earn up to two credits in this program during their four years at Valley.
