Technology shall be implemented to enhance, improve, engage and stimulate the learning environment for all students to advance their educational experience and skills in order to prepare them to live and work in an ever changing global community. It is my goal to teach and assess higher order thinking skills (critical and creative problem-solving) in a digital learning environment.
The 7th grade curriculum is a one semester, every other day, course focusing on word processing, data management and presentation skills. The students learn, in a hands-on environment, basic to advanced features of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides, which includes a focus on oral presentation skills. File management skills are reinforced throughout the semester in Google Drive. All work is project based and is usually completed in class.

The 8th grade curriculum is an elective, one semester, daily course focusing on basic graphic and web design. The students learn, in a hands-on environment, copyright law, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Dreamweaver. File management skills are reinforced through out the semester. The students are assessed in a variety of ways: quizzes, open ended and closed ended assignments. The final assignment is a student created, portfolio website. The students utilize all their computer skills that they have learned over the 2 years in the development of their website.
