Dear Parent or Guardian:
It is very important that your child comes to school wearing proper footwear on P.E. days! Students cannot safely participate in physical activities without wearing proper footwear. Depending on the shoes, sometimes students are able to participate; however, modifications, such as walking instead of running, must be made to ensure students ’ safety. This prevents students from experiencing the full health benefits of moderate to vigorous physical activities. Students who do not wear proper footwear for P.E. classes will not be allowed to participate and will be given an alternative assignment during class. Your child’s physical and emotional well-being are the priority during P.E. classes.
Thanks for working with me to ensure the safety of our students during P.E. classes.
Proper Physical Education attire includes:
Sneakers and socks;
Comfortable clothes;
If a dress must be worn, students should wear appropriate shorts underneath the dress.
No Crocs, please!
