While we look for reasons to recognize and reward all the great things our kids do, we learn from our mistakes too. Class Dojo reminders (negative points) subtract 2 reward points each occurrence and connect with small reinforcements:

-2 = just a warning
-4 = 5 minutes on wall at recess to reflect with the teacher
-6 = 10 minutes on wall at recess to reflect with the teacher
-8 = parents notified and 15 minutes of recess used for processing and collaborating around needs for future success
ALL kids (and adults) make mistakes occasionally! Needing an occasional reminder is expected, but the idea behind the reflection time is to take a moment to think about what we need to fix. By the time a student calls home, they have had multiple reminders and opportunities to get themselves together.
