Unit 1

This unit is assessed through an examination worth 90 marks (a total of 25% for you final mark) with a total time of 2 hours, undertaken in three timed sessions of 40 minutes for each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. 

Learners must take all three parts of the single examination in the same series to be awarded a result. The paper will include a range of question types, including multiple choice, calculations, short answer and open response. 

These question types will assess discrete knowledge and understanding of the content in this unit. 

The assessment availability is January and May/June each year. The first assessment availability is May/June 2017
