Mike Fanger begins his third year at Ridgeview as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach. Coach Fanger has had an extensive and very successful career as a coach for over 30 years in the State of Oregon. After finishing his playing days "Coach Fang" was an assistant at Lewis & Clark College from 1994-1998. He was named the Head Football Coach the next year and would lead the Pios from 1999-2003. During the 2004 and 2005 seasons he would coach receivers at Portand State serving as the Offensive Coordinator in 2005. From 2006-2009 he would take the reigns at La Salle High School of Milwaukie as the Head Football Coach. Since then he has been the Head Football Coach at Lincoln, West Linn, Glencoe and Hidden Valley High Schools with one stop as the Offensive Coordinator at Tigard High School in 2019 an 2020.
Coach Fanger was a standout athlete in High School at Lakeridge. He was a three year letter winner in Football and Baseball from 1982-84 as well as a two year Basketball Varsity athlete. He would go on to play quarterback at Lewis & Clark from 1985-1989.
Coach Fanger has been married to his wife Joelle Fanger for 31 years. They have 3 daughters Emma, Elisabeth and Sara.
