Week of August 24
Mrs. Hazen created a short video about the the big feelings that students might be having coming back to school along with some strategies. (Yeti Is Not Ready For School. This more for our younger elementary kiddos K-2),
Please remember if you plan on accompanying your child to lunch, call the office and let us know!
Also, please note that our card payment system is temporarily down in Infinite Campus. You can send cash or check to the front office for lunch accounts.
This year, we will be changing our K–2 dismissal procedure. We love that everyone enjoys the playground after school, but we want to be diligent in ensuring the safety of all students.
When the dismissal doors open, it can be difficult to account for each student and parent/guardian as students quickly disperse. To help ensure we know where every student is, K–2 students will remain in line with their teacher until a parent/guardian arrives and “checks” them out.
If a student has not been picked up by 3:35 p.m., they will be brought into the office so we can help determine the appropriate plan or next steps.
Thank you for your help and understanding as we make this change. Our goal is simply to create a dismissal process that keeps our youngest students safe while still allowing everyone to enjoy the end of the school day.
