Welcome to my class!!! 

Hi!  My name is Ms. Cope and I am going to be your first grade teacher.  This will be my 18th year to teach and my 13th  year to teach 1st grade!  I love first grade and all the exploring, learning, and fun we have!

I was born and raised in Texarkana, Texas. I attended  East Texas State University (Now Texas A & M), where I received my Master's degree in Reading. 

After teaching for five years, I moved to Ohio and then to Florida.   I put my teaching career on pause and had two awesome children.  My son's name is Brennon and my daughter's name is  Alex.  They are 26 and 24!!  I also  have  two fur babies named Luke and Bo.

When I decided to move back to Texarkana, I knew I wanted to resume  my passion for teaching!
