7.11B Describe human dependence and influence on ocean systems and explain how human activities impact these systems.

7.12A Diagram the flow of energy within trophic levels and describe how the available energy decreases in successive trophic levels in energy pyramids.

8th Grade -- 

8.10C Describe the interactions between ocean currents and air masses that produce tropical cyclones, including typhoons and hurricanes.

8.11A Use scientific evidence to describe how natural events, including volcanic eruptions, meteor impacts, abrupt changes in ocean currents, and the release and absorption of greenhouse gases influence climate.

8.11B Use scientific evidence to describe how human activities, including the release of greenhouse gases, deforestation, and urbanization, can influence climate.
