Students complete some "Morning Work," we meet for a welcome activity which helps build a strong classroom community and get students ready for the school day, and we review the daily schedule. 

Whole group math instruction.

Students work in small groups for differentiated math instruction. 

Whole group language arts instruction.

Students meet in small groups for differentiated instruction in language arts topics. 

We will be reading and studying a novel as a class to promote reading comprehension and thinking skills. 

Promotes an understanding of some of the major 5th grade math standards in a simple, yet effective daily lesson. 

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday- Science

Tuesday & Thursday- Social Studies

Students will write their homework in their agenda, then pack up for dismissal.
