Speech and debate changes lives. NSDA membership builds confidence, boosts classroom performance, improves communication, and increases critical thinking skills to prepare students for college. Our activity provides life skills vital to a young person’s success in the future.
As members of the National Speech and Debate Association, (NSDA) we recognize students through merit seals every Monday for their participation. They can qualify for awards and titles like Academic All American, and earn a portion of the $150,000 that the NSDA offers in college scholarships. Earning points in the NSDA Honor Society empowers students to expand their knowledge, advance their skill set, and reflect on their progress. The skills learned in speech and debate greatly benefit students in the college application process and prepare them for life after high school.
