My name is Mrs. Genesis Guardado, and I’m so excited to welcome students back! As the school counselor, I help students learn about feelings, friendships, problem-solving, and making good choices – all the important things that help them growth both in and out of the classroom. I also work closely with families and staff to make sure every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. I look forward to connecting with all of you!

I am thrilled to share that our school counseling program has officially earned the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation from the American School Counselor Association (ASCA)!
RAMP is a prestigious recognition awarded to schools that demonstrate an exemplary, data-driven comprehensive school counseling program. This designation reflects our commitment to delivering a program that supports student success through intentional, evidence-based practices aligned with ASCA’s national model. Achieving RAMP status is a significant milestone, highlighting our program's dedication to meeting students’ academic, social-emotional, and career development needs. We will be certified for five years (through the 2030-2031 school year).

The mission of Lugonia Elementary School Counselors is to provide an equitable, developmentally appropriate, and data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program that is accessible to all students. School Counselors aim to close the achievement gap by utilizing a multi-tiered system of support to meet the needs of the whole child, empowering them through social-emotional learning, academic development, and career exploration. School counselors collaborate with their community to promote a positive school climate, equipping students with the skills necessary to confront the challenges of our changing world.
