FAQs
What if you want to work in both Colorado Springs and Castle Rock/Monument/South Denver?
You are more than welcome to work in both areas, if there is a need! If you are a member of PPAR you will not need to join a Denver board. If you are not a member of PPAR, you will not be able to show houses in Colorado Springs unless you are a member of the PPMLS and possibly PPAR.
If you are a member of PPAR and PPMLS, but would like to show homes outside of their coverage area, you may need an REColorado secondary membership.
Can I join a different board or MLS?
Yes! You can choose to join any of the boards listed above. You cannot join the Metro Mountains Association of REALTORS®. REColorado is the only MLS you should join in the Denver area.
If you are a member of any of the following boards, you can keep your membership and not join a different board:
Fort Collins Board of REALTORS® (FCBR)
Greeley Area REALTOR® Association (GARA)
Loveland-Berthoud Association of REALTORS® (LBAR)
Which board should I choose?
As long as you choose from the boards listed above, Redfin doesn’t care which one you join. One may offer more relevant classes or benefits for you than the others. It's worth taking a look at their websites to see what they offer and their fee breakdown. The location of a board is also something to consider, if you plan to do any classes or events in person.
Should I join as a primary or secondary member of the board?
Choose primary, if you are not a member of another board
Choose secondary, if you are a member of another board and plan to keep that board membership in addition to this one
Can I only join the board at a local level?
In order to join the local board you will be required to also join the state and national boards. You cannot just join the local board.
If I won’t be able to do deals, why do I need to have MLS and REALTOR® affiliation?
AAs must be fully affiliated with the board and MLS in addition to having their license be active and in good standing. This is a contractual requirement and we are not allowed to make exceptions. In order to access homes you need an MLS membership.
