Grace and peace to you! My name is Mrs. Lauren Loebig, and I am truly blessed to be your child’s first grade teacher this school year! During the 2024-2025 school year, I served as a long-term substitute in first grade. After, I continued at Redeemer as an academic support teacher and building substitute. I had the opportunity to work with many students across multiple grade levels. I already know and love many of your children! I was recently married, some of your children may know me as Miss Hanford and now I am going by Mrs. Loebig in the classroom. This season is full of joyful new beginnings, and I’m so excited to welcome your family into our classroom community!
I am an honors graduate of the School of Education at Duquesne University. While at Duquesne, I followed God’s calling to pursue family and student ministry. During that time, I walked alongside students and families, encouraging them to draw near to God’s love and heart. It is my passion to teach children about God’s beautiful and everlasting love.
This year, our classroom theme is “Paws-itively Made In God’s Image”. I chose this theme because of my personal love for dogs and shelter pets. God calls his children to care for all of His creation, including animals! I have a sweet rescue dog named Alani, and I’m excited to share lessons of kindness, compassion, and responsibility through this fun and meaningful theme.

More than anything, I want you to know that I am praying for your children and for this school year. I believe God has brought each child into our classroom for a purpose, and I am honored to be part of their academic and spiritual growth. My hope is that our classroom will be a place where students feel safe, loved, and encouraged to grow into the person God created them to be! Please contact me with any questions or concerns for this school year. I am so excited to see you and your child soon!
