Here is the situation:
Initially when we, as a company, signed on with the new HR company, we opted for 26 pay period deductions(same deduction each paycheck all year). We are now seeing that this will cause some issues. In this case, if someone quits without notice the company will be left to pay the portion that is not paid in the pay periods covered.
We have decided to move to a 24 pay period deduction cadence to avoid this. This way each monthly premium is met per month. Because we have already completed two pay periods in the 26 pay period deduction cadence, this may mean that there will be some arrears owed on the first 2 pay periods and then it will be normalized to the 24 cadence deduction amount.
Say my deductions under the 26 pay period cadence were 200 per paycheck. That is 5200.00 a year. When we move to the 24 pay period cadence my deductions will now be 216.66. Now, because the first two pay periods were on the other deduction schedule we will have to catch up on the payment. You can see that the difference in my deductions is 16.66. That means I will have an extra 33.32 deducted on my next check to catch up. This still is the same 5200.00 a year in total deductions.
Moving to this 24 pay period schedule also means that there will be 2 pay periods where no deductions are taken(Yay Big Checks!!!).

Please disregard PTO amounts coming from HRS. These were all calculated erroneously and Angela has kept a manual spreadsheet for accurate PTO information.
Please see your managers for these amounts as they do have access to this spreadsheet.
The PTO in the new Paylocity system should be accurate but we are monitoring this closely. We will let you know when you are able to trust these numbers.
This is one of the reasons that we moved away from HRS. Many of you had already experienced the errors and were in communications with Angela for accurate information.
Thank you for your understanding and patience in this area. Unfortunately, systems and people do make mistakes!
