Grade One
WE DID IT!
We had an incredible year!
As another school year comes to a close, we would like to say how proud we are of the Grade One's of 2022!
They have continued to work hard and created some immaculate art work over the past year.
We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied and enriched our lives together this year!
School and Sports Uniform
An appeal to parents. Please support our school by ensuring that our children are correctly dressed in school uniform. Uniformity in school dress enhances the tone of a school and fosters among the scholars a feeling of “belonging together”, a sense of loyalty and pride in what they regard as their own.
We request parents to assist us by ensuring that children are equipped with the correct uniform from the beginning of the term and that they comply with the dress regulations before they leave home in the mornings.
Students and parents are also requested to note that the school rules apply anywhere a student is identifiable as a member of the Reddford House school community. It is obviously particularly important that the uniform be worn properly in public places such as on transport, in shopping centers and on the way to and from school.
Children must wear the correct sportswear when practicing their sport. Suitable hairstyles and lengths are considered part of the school uniform and we appeal to parents to assist in this regard. Hair styles must be neat. Thank you for your co-operation in this important matter.
Marking and Care of Personal Belongings:
Please assist with the Marking & Care of Personal Belongings.
Lost Property: In a large institution such as ours, with over 1000 people and some 42 teaching venues, items are often mislaid or mysteriously disappear. It is inevitable that from time to time we will have a number of personal belongings (pupils and staff) disappear.
Unmarked items: In many cases, the ‘stolen’ items re-appear in the ‘Lost Property’ room. It is quite incredible to note how many of these recovered items are not marked. All belongings should please be marked.
A special request to check your children’s belongings: To prevent potentially embarrassing situations, please help us by periodically checking to see whether your child is not inadvertently wearing clothing belonging to somebody else! In the case of some of the clothing reported missing, items have been clearly labeled. Your cooperation in assisting us will be appreciated.
Valuables: Please note that children should not be bringing cell phones to school. The phones are available in the classrooms and at Reception for the students to make use of in the event of an emergency. There have been incidents in the past of the inappropriate use of cell phones at school taking place as well as cell phones being misplaced or reported as ‘stolen’. Schools can no longer spend valuable time policing cell phones instead of teaching.
Please take note that holding class is only for children with older or younger siblings in the school.
College and Senior Prep extra murals has ended for the term.
Any children who are not collected from holding class by 14:30, will be signed into aftercare and billed.
