Providing Support and Guidelines
Schedule: Faculty will follow the established schedule for classroom learning to ensure consistency.
Virtual Check-In: Faculty will use Google Hangout/Zoom (chat or video) at the beginning of each class session to check in with students and provide instruction. The faculty will also take attendance at this time.
Daily Updates and Posting: Faculty will update and post assignments and instruction daily using the appropriate platforms.
Continue Normal Teacher Practices: Faculty will continue to submit grades, take attendance, post their lesson plans on Planbookedu, and monitor student learning.
General Guidelines
Be realistic when planning: you will not be able to cover all the information you normally would in person.
It is recommended that teachers have a Level 1 activity for students daily. E.g. short quiz, short paragraph reflection/explanation, etc.
It is recommended that at minimum once a week teachers have a Level 2-4 activity for students that ask higher-order thinking skills.
Treat your instruction as a whole lesson. Do not have your lesson activity AND homework.
