Class,
Today I am absent. Your behavior is a reflection of yourself, family and Brandywine Springs School. My expectation for the substitute is that they will write me a note letting me know about your behavior. Please let me know if you have any problems with the assignment.(peter.kelly@redclay.k12.de.us) If you finish early, please let the substitute know so that you can present your current event outloud to the class.
1. Please allow enough time for the substitute to take attendance
2. Complete a current event of your choosing (Check Schoology)
If you have trouble finding one, try this-

4. If you finish before the end of the class, tell the substitute so that you can present your current event outloud in front of the class (not graded)

Energy Expo- Friday January 12
Expo information- 8:30-9:45 BSS Cafeteria
It is set up with 6 stations that students will rotate through in groups of 17-18 students. [Go to Schoology for Groups] Graded worksheets will be provided for students to complete.
Station A- What is Electricity? How do we use energy in our school?
Station B- How do we make electricity? What are the impacts of fossil fuel use on our environment?
Stations C-F How do we reduce air pollution from our energy use?
C) Conserve- Use less
D) Go Energy Efficient
E) Use Cleaner fuels:
i. Solar
ii. Wind
iii. Electric Cars
iv. Nuclear Energy
F ) The future: Hydrogen, wave energy, hydrogen fuel cells, carbon capture.
