AVIATION SPECIALISTS, TOGETHER

TRUST ME, I'M A CONTRACTOR ENGINEER

BY RICARD MARTINEZ - POSTED 01/06/2021

Being a contractor engineer is not as easy as it used to be in the past.

Despite the obvious fact that contracting has become a powerful trend within the last years in the aviation industry, it is not always so well accepted by some clients.

A contractor engineer is not only required to have the right license endorsements and experience, but also has to take care of his own image and reputation. He is, somehow, marketing himself as a product.

Due to the, as already said, recent high demand of contractor engineers, an increased amount of individuals have joined this working scheme worldwide. This means that, statistically, there will always be one out of ten of those individuals who, for one reason or another, will not fulfill the client's expectations.

We are quite sensitive with this matter, due to the fact that, you can spend your entire career building trust on your regular clients, by delivering a flawless service. But one single fail could affect that relationship.

Moreover, others fails will also affect the way a client will look at contractors in general.

It's indeed unpleasant to hear from a client that they're skeptical about using your services due to bad experiences in the past. This is how that one out of ten individuals can affect the entire community.

Trust is of extreme importance to us. When we search and select a suitable candidate for our clients, we make sure we gather all relevant information about him. We use the power of networking to access his reputation and level of reliability, via past employers or former colleagues.

We will never fall for placing a candidate at any cost, without making sure first that the said candidate will fulfill our expectations; and those of the client by extension.

We do recruiting, but we are also engineers, and we know how important is to deliver trust, honesty and empathy.
