The Anglophone Community Expo (ACE) is a Vocational Training (VT) and Adult General Education (AGE) anglophone sector focused "unconference" to share ideas and reflect on themes around educational technology, curriculum, pedagogy, and complementary educational services. The theme of this year's event is One More Time, Together Online!
ACE is a yearly, online event hosted by the PROCEDE, RÉCIT Vocational Training, and RÉCIT Adult General Education consultants.
ACE 2026 is an unconference, a participant-driven event. Instead of traditional lectures or presentations, the event is built-on collaborative discussions called "Conversation Hubs".
We host ACE on Gather, a virtual, retro video-game-style space where attendees move freely and join conversations by approaching others attending the event. Presenter areas, called “Conversation Hubs,” are set up like poster sessions, allowing participants to come and go, network, and choose how they spend their time learning. We also kick the day off with a keynote speaker. That is our fifth year using this highly successful and popular format!
Last but not least, please don't worry if you're not a gamer, no previous experience needed. To learn more about how to use platform, visit the Gather Overview section on this website.
Join us online for ACE 2026 on the morning of March 19, 2026 and check out the schedule section below for more details.
Attendees can register with this form up until Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
ACE 2026 is free to attend. If you are a VT or AGE teacher who is scheduled to teach and requires a replacement in order to attend, you may be able to apply for funding through your board’s Professional Improvement Committee (PIC). Please check with your local pedagogical consultant or centre director to confirm the process.
Please use an email address from a recognized educational institution or your registration will not be accepted.
The ACE conference follows the "un-conference" philosophy of teacher-led, collaborative professional development. Rather than fomal presentations, this event has encounters in conversation hubs, facilitated by teachers, pedagogical consultants, and other community members on topics of educational insight. Do you have thoughts or experiences with classroom management, teaching strategies, or adult learners that you would like to discuss with your colleagues? Are you interested in student well-being, gamification of learning, and digital assisitve tools? Why not host a conversation hub! If you'd like to present at ACE 2026, you can fill out a session proposal form by Friday, February 13, 2026.
Please use an email address from a recognized educational institution or your presentation will not be accepted.
