Hi there!  I'm Joan Horton and I am so excited to be one of your 5th grade teachers.  I absolutely love math and hope that I can get you to at least like math more than you do now.  This year will mark my 6th year at TRA!  I am married to my husband Scott-who will be retiring from the US Navy this year.  We have two wonderful sons-Liam (25) lives in Pensacola, FL and works as an electrical engineer and Connor (23) is in the US Navy and is currently stationed near Charleston, S.C. We have two very rambunctions dogs Tully and Holyn.  I love to travel and have a goal of visiting all seven continents-I ony have 3 left!  We are going to have a wonderful year together!
