Community Garda Visit.
Last Friday, Garda Deirdre and Garda Fergal spoke to us about the 'Impact of my behaviour on Others.' It was a very useful presentation which reminded us that we need to be kind and mindful of everyone in our local community. As we go about our daily lives, we must remember to think before we act and ask ourselves the IMPORTANT question ' Is this the right thing to do?'.
'Make a wish' Christmas Fundraiser.
Like last year, this year I asked the children in my class not to buy me a Christmas present and instead if they so chose, we would donate 1 or 2 euro each to a charity of their choosing and I'd add to the cause too. I know it is an expensive time of year and with the cost of everything going up, I think charities are finding it tough to make ends meet.
I asked the girls to put their charity in a basket and I would pull out a name and we'd fundraise for that charity. The charity pulled out was 'Make a Wish Ireland'.
I'm delighted to say that the girls raised a brilliant 121 euro and therefore as a class, we are delighted to be able to donate 150 euro to Make a Wish Ireland. Thank you to everyone who donated. For more information about Make a Wish, please click on this link.
